North Georgia Mountains Summer Elopement

When Hannah initially inquired to see if we were available to film her elopement, she wrote out her + Lane’s entire journey as a couple and it was so touching! We like to ask upfront about three facts relating to our couples story, and it was very refreshing to have Hannah write out so many cute details!!

🏥 For some reason, Hannah thought Lane’s name was Evan for the first few months after meeting each other at work (she was a nurse & he was an Advanced EMT), at least until he moved to Indiana. After he returned to Georgia from a personal trip to Ireland, Hannah says “he had a new pep in his step and light in his eye.” Indeed, as Hannah says in her vows, Lane has a really special ability to make people feel special, worthy and at ease. And he has a strong sense of humor to top it off too!

But it wasn’t immediately clear they’d be life partners due to a bit of mutual friend-zone confusion. Their relationship uncertainty didn’t stop them from wanting to hang out with each other even after 12 hour shifts at the hospital, drinking pitchers of margaritas, creating silly Snapchat characters, and exchanging interesting music playlists.

There was one night in particular where they hung out with coworkers, and everyone went home, but they found themselves talking in the parking lot well into 3 in the morning. Lane even spent an entire day at the park with her son, Nate, too! Then came the fateful night of their first kiss...a little alcohol helped them to loosen up, but after that first kiss it felt like immediate fireworks!!

Hannah reminisces: “That quote comes to mind ‘Love is friendship on fire,’ and finding a best friend that loves you the way we love each other is pretty magical. We began combining our lives from that point on, and teaching our children the business of a blended family.”

Even before these two love birds became one, they always put their family and young boys first. As a family, they really enjoyed going on many 🏕 hiking trips (their mutual affection for the great outdoors is reflected in the mountaintop cabin rental they decided to get married at). They now look back on their love story so far as an incredibly fun adventure that is only just beginning ✨⁣

When you hear their vows to each other and the vows they wrote to their boys, you’ll see how their adventure is really only just beginning 🌱 ⁣
