A Tropical Dream Home
On our recent two-week trip to Costa Rica, we had the opportunity to spend our first four days at the most incredible AirBnB! Casa Mia Uvita was gorgeous in every respect. The tropical landscaping and perfectly sized pool made our stay feel like a luxury vacation. The private backyard also included a covered BBQ/outdoor kitchen area, and with grocery stores located conveniently close by, we took full advantage of cooking up a feast!
With three air-conditioned bedrooms (two of which had sliding glass doors leading to the backyard) this comfy home had plenty of room for six people. The tall ceilings made the space feel even larger. Modern and amazingly functional bathrooms and a kitchen packed with appliances helped us feel right at home as well.
Best AirBnB Host Ever
Although this home’s host, Amy, isn’t local, we felt so well cared for! The self-check in process was so simple (which was a huge relief as we had made the drive to Uvita from San Jose at night and in the rain!) and we immediately felt safe and right at home. Packed with plenty of towels, bed linens, and even fresh fruit, coffee, and other pantry items, we truly weren’t missing a thing! Having access to the laundry also was a huge help!
Basically on the Beach
The best part above all? Parque Nacional Marino Ballena is but a few hundred meters away!! This world-class beach with a super distinct Whale Tail is only a five-minute walk to the front door of this jaw-dropping property. Honestly, the toughest decision we had to make was whether we should start our day in the pool, or be some of the first people swimming at the beach...decisions, decisions!!
Near Manuel Antonio
We also loved being just an hour and half’s drive away from one Costa Rica’s most famous National Parks, Manuel Antonio! Although Uvita had plenty to of attractions like whale-watching, yummy restaurants, and surfing lessons, we enjoyed venturing out and exploring other parts of the region. Driving our rental car was a breeze and we love that Waze works great in Costa Rica!
At the end of each fun-packed day, it was so nice to be able to return to our beloved Casa Mia Uvita and relax. With many board games to choose from, and even cable TV (which we didn’t use because come on, who needs TV in paradise?), it’s impossible to get bored here. Now, we just can’t wait to go back!
